Space Playdough

I have been finding some new recipes to try for making rice and playdough. I found a simple no bake recipe for playdough I wanted to try out. So I decided to make some space playdough. This recipe was super easy and didn't take long at all.

Recipe:

2 cups of flour

1 cup of salt

1.5 cups boiling water

2 tbsp oil

2 tbsp cream of tartar

Black food coloring

Silver gliter if you want

Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl until it forms a dough consistency. Be careful as it will be very hot at first. Once a dough is formed knead in the food coloring and glitter.

Store in a ziploc bag or a tuperware container.

Word of warning, wear gloves when kneading in black food coloring, or you will be left with black hands. This was after I tried lemon, vinegar and salt mixture, soap, hand sanitizer and lotion to get the food coloring off.

It did eventually come off with shampoo and conditioner of all things. Go figure. Next time, gloves.
