Just Another Manic Monday

So the weekend is over and I don't know where it went. Was it even here? Saturday Patrick cut the grass and even weed wacked the entire back yard, the sides of the house and some of the front. The extension cord didn't reach the entire front. Belle was extremely cuddly so her and I cuddled on the couch for most of the morning. She did really well with napping in her crib again. I didn't do much of anything during the day on Saturday.

My brother invited us over Saturday night for pizza and wings. So we brought Cranium over and played that. Umm...one of the longest games ever! But it was actually a lot of fun. I learned that we suck and drawing and humming. And sherades haha we won't even go there. Belle woke up while we were there and that was the end of the game. She wanted to go home. So we packed everything up and headed home right away.

Belle actually slept in past 8. Can you believe it?? Considering that she was up at 6:30 on Saturday. Remind me to that JD for that one. Sunday ended up being a busy day. We were only going to clean the kitchen, I ended up cleaning most of the living room. Our kitchen is small with very little cupboards and the worse set up you could ever imagine. We have a tiny table in the kitchen that we never use. We have a nook in the living room that we use as a dining room. So the table was holding a lot of stuff that we just never tried to fit into the small cupboards. Patrick did a great job of finding places for everything. Eventually we are going to get rid of the table and buy a butchers block or something with more storage. Considering we really don't even have a place for all of Belle's bottles.

So then it was my turn. We have horrible grained white tile in our kitchen. I would like to meet the jerk that put this flooring in. It is the worst floor for a kitchen. Seriously. So to get this floor clean I grabed my trusty bottle of Kaboom and my scrub brush...yes scrub brush and cleaned each tile individually. I think I was in there for almost 2 hours. My hands was soooo red when I was done. But it looks better thankfully. When we buy a house it can not have groved tile!

I washed all the curtains from the kitchen and living room. I can't believe how dusty they were but they look great.

Now that all the rooms have gotten the deep spring cleaning we can now focus on the outside and hopefully begin to spend these nice weekends outside and not inside.

Peanut Snuggling

Belle and I spent the day together on Thursday. It was great. I did a little cleaning while she napped. And when she wasn't napping we got a ton of play and snuggle time in. She is getting so much better with sitting by herself. I had started cleaning some stuff up in the kitchen when she woke up so I set up blankets for her in the living room and stuck the boppy around her and she played there while I finished cleaning.

She took 4 naps on Thursday. Crazy. She barely takes after noon naps anymore at the Bug. She took 2. Actually as I am typing this now she is falling asleep in my lap. Yes Belle is sitting in my lap and I am typing with both hands. This is a very very rare accurance.

I am having company over on Friday and I have to say that the house is in pretty good condition. It obviously has the normal cleaning to do before hand but I have been doing really well with keeping up with the bath room and living room that I don't have to really scrub it. Now the kitchen, let's just say I should be cleaning the kitchen right now. Instead I sit here updating. Eh, tomorrow is another day. It really shouldn't take too long. The longest part will be scrubbing the floor, and the stove needs a good scrubbing too.

Belle has been very snuggly today, so we have spent most of the day on the couch snuggling. She has been sneezing a lot today and is a little stuffed up. So just a quiet day here.

Tomorrow....I will clean the kitchen!

You Want Me to Clean...On My Day Off????

I am at home today with Belle. It wasn't originally planned that I was going to be off today. My dad couldn't watch her so Patrick told me to take a vacation day and stay home with her. You don't have to twist my arm. So I was lucky to be able to get the day off (apparently every one and their mom's are off this week in our department).

So my plan is to get some cleaning done around the house. I skipped washing the tables on Tuesday and immediately regretted it when I got into bed that night. Last night I did not clean the bathroom as scheduled. Instead we went to the neighbors for some Margaritas and Nachos in honor of Cinco De Mayo.

Belle and Claire finally got to play together last night. They sat on the floor together and played with blocks and books. Belle tried stealing Claire's socks, they held hands for a minute and Clair stole Belle's paci. Haha it was so cute. I did have my camera but I did not get any pictures and really bummed about it. Those pics would have been great for Belle's scrapbook.

So as I sit here playing on the computer I think of all the things that really need to be done and what I should be getting done now that Belle is napping in her crib (woohoo!!!) and what needs to be done today.

-wash tables
-sweep floor (again)
-dust desk/shelves/entertainment center in living room
-clean off dining table
-go through bags of baby food in kitchen
-laundry
-fold laundry in basket
-wash the bedding
-shower
-clean bathroom
-wash bottles
-take Belle to visit Daddy at work
-make dinner
-clean kitchen
-mail a card
-call Church and set up Bapitisim Ok I really did call, but the Parish closes at 4, I called at 4:15. Ugh, so hopefully I will have time to call tomorrow at work.

I really wish today was pay day and not tomorrow so I could get the grocery shopping done and I have to run out to babies r us as well. But unfortunately that will have to wait for tomorrow and be added with a trip to the mall for a hair cut and Mother's Day shopping.

Tomorrow will be busy...wait scratch that. This weekend will be busy. On Saturday we have a 5K for the Heritage Centers in the morning and a Communion party in the afternoon. The plan is Belle and I are going to be walking the 5K while Patrick runs it. But the weather looks horrible for Saturday raining and cold. So Belle and I may be hanging out with Grandpa instead of doing the walk. Which I will be really disappointed. I was looking forward to doing the walk.

Sunday is Mother's Day. My first Mother's Day as a mommy. We will start the day with brunch at Patrick's sister’s house and move on to dinner out with my parents and brother. Wow we are going to be one stuffed family.
