Way Back Wednesday

This week's Way Back Wednesday is Honeymoons. Well, I LOVED our honeymoon so obviously I had to join in and share!

We choose to go to Disney. We had the best time of our life. We had so much fun and really it's not just for kids! Trust me...Jelly Rolls plus Captian and Cokes plus Mai Tai's...does not equal kids!!!

We arrived on Sunday and checked into our amazing one bedroom Villa at Beach Club. It was perfect!!

We hung at the amazing pool at the Beach Club and headed to Downtown Disney for dinner. The Hubs loves Earl of Sandwhich. We called it an early night due to the fact the night before was a fun late night and we were up insanely early to get our flight. And well tomorrow was our first day with the mouse!

Our first day was no other then the Magic Kingdom. I have been multiple times to the World. The Hubs has only been once and didn't remember much from it. We had our standard pictures in front of the Castle and took our time visitng each land. We did have 9 wonderful days to explore the World. We had dinner in the Castle at Cinderella's Royal Table. The food was amazing and we got a special table in front of the center window looking over Fantasy Land. For our honeymoon we were given Champange Flutes. We were treated like royalty all week. It was fabulous!

Before heading back to the resort for the night we had to get a couple more pictures with these 2 characters!

On Tuesday we headed to Epcot. I wasn't all that excited for Epcot as I loated and wished we were somewhere else it was not my favorite the first time I went to Disney. This time around, Swoon! I love Epcot and can spend my entire trip to Disney there. There is so much to see and do in World Showcase. And it didn't hurt that it was the International Food and Wine Festival while we were there. Every country we had a new drink to try. Mexico, Margharitas...why thank you!

China, some peach snapps tea? I would love some! Italy, an Italian Margharita? You bet. France, a Grey Goose Lemonade Slush? Oh yeah, and keep them coming!

That is not all we did while we were in Epcot. We rode the rides in Future World and explored all the buildings as well. Soarin' is an amazing ride and one of my favs. You have to try it the next time or when you go to Disney. You will not be disappointed!

On Wednesday we headed over to what was then MGM. We had fun here, but it was hot, and sadly this park could use some more rides. We were done with mostly everything by 3 and we had to stick around for our dinner reservations that were at 5. Tower of Terror though is a great ride. I honestly did not think I was going to like being dropped randomly like that. But honestly we laughed the entire time on it.

Thursday was a laid back day. Kind of our down day. We spent it at the water park Typhoon Lagoon. The Hubs loved the wave pool and I loved the lazy river. We got our fill of the water and around 1 decided to head back to the resort. We relaxed for a bit and got ready for our once in a life time it's so expensive romantic dinner.

We had dinner at Victoria and Alberts. It is Disney's 5 star resturant. The Hubs had to wear a tie and suit coat and I had to wear a dress. Which honestly I wanted one dinner on our honeymoon like this. It was a 8 course dinner. We had our own waiter and the food was to die for. We tried stuff we never had and probably will never have again. I tried Quail and a Quail egg, surprising both really good. I tried Duck, really not so good. We both tried Salmon and both barely ate it (we're not fish people) and Kobe Beef which was pretty good. I was given a rose when we were leaving. Again we were treated like royalty!

On Friday we headed to the Animal Kingdom. This is our least favorite park. I truley believe that with all the trees and plants this park is hotter then the other parks. And to me way more crowded!

We were one of the first people in one of the gift shops that day. Seriously you leave the ride and enter a gift shop. Any ways one of the cast memebers asked us if we wanted to make a Mr. Potato head to be the Spud of the Day. So we did. You can't really see it to well in the back but he has a thing of popcorn and a guitar. With a Mickey top hat!

Us with Pooh and Tigger. And a ring shot.

When coming back to our room one night we had chocolate cover strawberries and a card waiting for us. Neither of us ordered them. What a sweet surprise!

The rest of the trip we spent hopping from park to park hitting rides we missed and doing an insane amount a little bit of shopping. We were so sad to leave. It was a great trip and we have some really great memories and stories.
Us with the best Princess ever. Yes Princess Belle is my favorite Disney Princess and has been since I was a kid. But no, that is not why we named our daughter Isabelle.

Chip and Dale giving me kisses! Then tried to steal me from Patrick.

Us with a special fairy. Tink!

We had such and amazing Honeymoon. I am so glad we choose Disney. We had such a good trip we went back a year later with a couple of friends. That is a whole other story. Maybe one day I will write about that trip.

Ok it's a lot of pictures and there were a ton more I could have put up. But I really had a great time on our honeymoon! I can't wait to take Belle. Hoping for a December trip this year!

  2. What a wonderful honeymoon full of Disney Magic! ;-) I love all your pictures!

I wasn't a big fan of Epcot at first but this last trip we spent 4 days there WITH our 2 year old! I'm so jealous that you stayed at The Beach Club and were there during Food and Wine!

Belle is my favorite too! ;-) And that's so neat about Victoria and Albert's. I'd love to do that once.

You seriously sound/look like you had a great time!

BTW, I vote Disney instead of cruise! ;-) Or how about a DISNEY cruise??

  3. You know, I've never been to Victoria and Albert's. And you'd think I would have done it at LEAST once by now, right?

    DISNEY CRUISE ALL THE WAY!!!

Love your pics. But, of course, I'm biased LOL.
