We have been busy busy busy this week. Sorry for the lack of updating. I have a ton of pictures to get up here though. Hopefully tonight I can get some up. I think I am behind all the way up to last Friday!
Belle had her marathon doctor appointments on Wednesday. We started with the ultra sound on her brain. Everything came back normal. Her soft spot is starting to close so she had problems looking at the deeper part of her brain, but there is nothing to be concerned about. The tech said that she makes eye contact and smiles and coos so there is no reason for concern. She said that you know when there is something wrong when a baby comes in and won't make eye contact. So everything is good on that end. She was pretty good through that appointment. She only cried, or actually whined, near the end when she was tired of having the "wand" on her head. But she did really really well.
The second appointment for her belly button wasn't bad either. We were expecting pain, screaming, and crying and a long day and night ahead of us. While we did wait a really long time in a tiny crowded waiting room, it wasn't nearly as bad as we thought. The doctor we saw was really backed up so it was after 12:30 before we were called into a room. We had an 11:15 appointment. All the doctor had to do was remove the string. He was able to pull the string up a bit so he could get at it and just snip it with scissors. No cutting her or anything. She did cry a bit, but we think he just got her a bit with the tweezers when he was trying to grab the string. She was a little wiggly. She bleed for a half a minute from where the sting was and that was it. She slept a lot in the afternoon but that was because she was not able to get any sleep in the morning.
She only had one day at school this week. She was all smiles when we dropped her off. I think she missed it haha. Belle's first Valentine's party was last Friday. She had 3 valentine's in her class. We got a giant heart Valentine from her with her foot prints on it. I will try to remember to take a picture of it so I can post it. She has a new little friend named Peyton. I guess last week when Belle was in the bouncy Peyton kept bringing her toys. Belle had a pile of toys on her lap after a bit. Too cute. Her classroom was all decorated for St. Patrick's day when we got there today. She will be at school for that holiday too.
I found her Easter dress last weekend. Too bad the Penney's in the Galleria didn't have her size left...already!!! Crazy how fast this stuff sells. We decided were getting 6 month/Easter pictures done at the end of March. I can't believe in just a week and a half she's going to be 5 months and were booking her 6 month picture appointment. Crazy how quickly time goes.
More Belle news....we are starting cereal tomorrow! Those should be some nice pictures!!! Daddy is putting her high chair together tonight. She is getting be such a big girl! We decided to do cereal for about a week and then try some veggies. Yum!
